Basketball Game Preview: Omaha Eagles vs. Lead Hill Tigers

The Omaha Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Lead Hill Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lead Hill took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Omaha, who comes in off a win.

Omaha will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Kingston, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Omaha escaped with a win on Friday against Kingston by the margin of a single free throw, 45-44.

Meanwhile, Lead Hill didn't have quite enough to beat Founders Classical Academy on Friday and fell 45-42.

Omaha will have to contain Tesli Johnson as she made an impact in Lead Hill's last game. She dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 boards. The contest was Johnson's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Wilson, who posted 12 points and five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Lead Hill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since the start of last season.

Lead Hill's loss dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Omaha, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.

Everything came up roses for Omaha against Lead Hill in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 61-24 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Omaha since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
