Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pasadena). They blew past the Glendale Nitros 84-58 on Monday. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Nitros are ranked 434th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Glendale's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joshua Ballard, who went 7 of 13 en route to 16 points and six boards. Jacob Samontina was another key player, going 5 for 12 on his way to 12 points along with five assists and five rebounds.

The victory was the third in a row for Pasadena, bringing their record for this year to 13-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for Glendale, they dropped their record down to 12-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Pasadena didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 82-33 win against Hoover on the 30th. Glendale has also already played their next contest, a 76-50 victory against Burroughs on the 30th.
