Volleyball Game Preview: Lake Wales Highlanders vs. Roosevelt Academy Eagles

The Lake Wales Highlanders will square off against the Roosevelt Academy Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Lake Wales and 11 for Roosevelt Academy dating back to last season.

On Tuesday, Lake Wales came up short against Auburndale and fell 3-1.

Lake Wales started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-13, 25-20, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Roosevelt Academy also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Discovery by a score of 2-0.

Roosevelt Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Lake Wales, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.

Lake Wales took their win against Roosevelt Academy in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Highlanders since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
