Softball Recap: New Athens Comes Up Short

New Athens lost against Steeleville back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets fell 4-1 to the Warriors. The Yellow Jackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

New Athens' defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Steeleville, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, New Athens and Steeleville will both be playing Marissa/Coulterville the next time they take the field. The Warriors will host the Meteors at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Yellow Jackets will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
