Soccer Preview: Hercules vs. Kennedy
The Hercules Titans will venture away from home to square off against the Kennedy Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hercules will come in still looking for their first win of the season.
Last Tuesday, Hercules might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Vallejo an easy 5-2 victory.
Ivan Lion and Jayden Portillo scored both of Hercules' goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kennedy). Everything went their way against Swett on Tuesday as Kennedy made off with a 13-1 win. With that victory, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 3.9 goals per game.
Something new happened on Tuesday as Andy Xavier Flores saw his first action of the season, playing 55 minutes against Swett. Flores made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.
Kennedy now has a winning record of 3-2-3. As for Hercules, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
