Softball Game Preview: Industrial Cobras vs. Yoakum Bulldogs

The Industrial Cobras are taking a road trip to face off against the Yoakum Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

Industrial lost 13-3 to Tidehaven on Tuesday. The Cobras have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Industrial saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Balensiefen, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Yoakum can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They blew past Rice Consolidated 15-0. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won four contests by 11 runs or more so far this season.

Industrial's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5-1. As for Yoakum, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Everything went Industrial's way against Yoakum in their previous matchup back in March, as Industrial made off with a 15-5 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cobras since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
