Recap: Dakota Indians vs. Pearl City Wolves
The Dakota Indians won the last time they faced the Pearl City Wolves, and things went their way on Saturday too. Dakota took down Pearl City 53-35. That looming 53-35 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Dakota yet this season.
Dakota got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Madison Binder out in front who scored ten points along with six rebounds and two steals. Binder also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Finley Banks was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five assists and four steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Dakota and bumps their season record up to 10-15. As for Pearl City, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-20.
Dakota will be playing at home against Pecatonica at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Pecatonica presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Dakota in Illinois (Pecatonica is ranked 129th, while Dakota is ranked 468th). As for Pearl City, they will head out on the road to take on West Carroll at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. West Carroll is on a five-game streak of home losses, Pearl City a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
