Soccer Game Preview: Lakewood vs. Dakota Ridge

The Lakewood Tigers will challenge the Dakota Ridge Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

It was a proper cat-fight when Lakewood took on D'Evelyn on Friday. Lakewood fell just short of D'Evelyn by a score of 1-0. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Tigers couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Dakota Ridge's offense. They fell just short of Columbine by a score of 1-0 on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Rebels: they've now lost eight in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Dakota Ridge fell to 2-1. As for Lakewood, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Lakewood beat Dakota Ridge by a goal in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lakewood since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
