Baseball Game Preview: Tri Titans vs. South Decatur Cougars

The Tri Titans will square off against the South Decatur Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tri has given up an average of 13.2 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tri is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Monday. They came up short against Winchester Community, falling 14-4.

Tri saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kain Knepley, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 17 runs the game before, South Decatur was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of North Decatur.

Tri's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18-1. As for South Decatur, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-10.

Tri suffered a grim 13-3 defeat to South Decatur in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
