Football Game Preview: Manitou Springs Mustangs vs. Banning Lewis Academy Stallions + How To Watch

The Manitou Springs Mustangs will take on the Banning Lewis Academy Stallions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses for Manitou Springs and three for Banning Lewis Academy.

Things were looking good for Manitou Springs after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They were dealt a 49-13 loss at the hands of Woodland Park. The Mustangs were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Even if they lost, Manitou Springs' defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Woodland Park's QB won't forget Layton Little anytime soon given he sacked him 3.5 times.

Meanwhile, Banning Lewis Academy played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Lamar, falling 38-12.

Manitou Springs will have to contain Sam Early as he made an impact in Banning Lewis Academy's last game. He threw for 372 yards and a pair of TDs. Banning Lewis Academy is 2-1 when Early posts 250 or more passing yards, but 1-4 otherwise.

Manitou Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Banning Lewis Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Everything came up roses for Manitou Springs against Banning Lewis Academy in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 34-0 victory. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Stallions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
