Volleyball Recap: Triangle Math & Science's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Wednesday

After flying high against Jordan-Matthews last Thursday, Triangle Math & Science came back down to earth. Triangle Math & Science fell just short of Chapel Hill by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. Triangle Math & Science's defeat signaled the end of their undefeated season.

Triangle Math & Science wouldn't go down easily and took Chapel Hill into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. The final score came out to 15-25, 25-17, 25-16, 22-25, 15-12.

Despite the loss, Triangle Math & Science saw an underclassman step up: freshman Chris Lange had ten digs and two aces.

Triangle Math & Science's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Chapel Hill, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Triangle Math & Science Tigers take on Eno River Academy Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. on March 19th. As for Chapel Hill, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on East Chapel Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
