Softball Recap: Kimball Jaguars vs. Central Catholic Raiders
Kimball was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 9-6 to the Central Catholic Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Kimball of the 7-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.
Bianca Quintero was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Elysia Duarte was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
On Central Catholic's side, Stephanie Garcia tossed a big game, tossing seven innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off ten hits (she also only allowed one walk). Garcia has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single walk in five consecutive pitching appearances.
