Baseball Recap: West Valley Has No Trouble Against Gridley

It's playoff time, and West Valley had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Gridley Bulldogs on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 15 games by six runs or more so far this season.

West Valley's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Gunner Church, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

West Valley's victory bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Gridley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-10.

West Valley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-1 win against Yreka on the 20th. Gridley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
