Basketball Recap: Morristown Skates Past Hagerstown with Ease

There's no place like home for Morristown, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They blew past the Hagerstown Tigers 62-22 on Tuesday. That 40 point margin sets a new team best for the Yellow Jackets this season.

Morristown's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jayla Keithley led the charge by going 5 for 8 on her way to 12 points, to go along with seven steals and six assists. Keithley is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Sanders, who went 8 for 16 on her way to 20 points and three steals.

Mackenzee Johnson and Katee Cowan certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Johnson went 5 of 9 on her way to 13 points, while Cowan posted five points and eight rebounds.

Morristown's record is now 3-6. As for Hagerstown, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.
