Basketball Game Preview: Brewer Witches vs. Hampden Broncos

The Brewer Witches will take on the Hampden Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Brewer sitting on three straight victories and Hampden on four.

Brewer is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They escaped with a win against Mt. Blue by the margin of a single free throw, 61-60.

Brewer's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ollie Higgins, who went 8-for-13 en route to 22 points and five boards. The dominant performance gave Higgins a new career-high in points. Owen Fullerton was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and nine assists.

Meanwhile, Hampden was able to grind out a solid victory over Gardiner on Saturday, taking the game 40-32.

Hampden's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Brewer, their victory bumped their record up to 16-3.

Brewer came up short against Hampden in their previous meeting back in January, falling 59-52. Can Brewer avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
