Football Recap: Longmont Trojans vs. Adams City Eagles
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Grand Junction Central, Longmont was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Adams City Eagles 62-14. That looming 62-14 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Trojans yet this season.
A big part of Longmont's win came down to the chemistry between Kolby Holmes and his top target Joey Foot. Holmes threw for 336 yards and six touchdowns while completing 76% of his passes while Foot picked up 216 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Foot showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 50 yards. A healthy portion of Holmes' aerial production (81 yards to be exact) also went to Rhys Odom, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Longmont's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Adams City, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
As of now, neither Longmont nor Adams City have any future games scheduled.
