Basketball Recap: New Albany Bulldogs vs. Jennings County Panthers

It was a good run, but the New Albany Bulldogs unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Jennings County by a score of 58-56. New Albany has struggled against the Panthers recently, as their match on Thursday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Carter Kent was his usual excellent self, scoring 32 points along with seven rebounds and six assists for Jennings County. That makes it six consecutive games in which Kent has scored at least a third of Jennings County's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dorian Hacker, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.

New Albany's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 13-4. As for Jennings County, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Columbus East the next time they take the court. New Albany will host the Olympians at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Panthers will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
