Soccer Game Preview: Bacon Academy vs. Ledyard

The Bacon Academy Bobcats will square off against the Ledyard Colonels at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bacon Academy will be strutting in after a win while Ledyard will be coming in after a defeat.

Ledyard better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Bacon Academy's game on Thursday is any indication, that's when Bacon Academy really gets things going. The Bobcats never let Portland get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. Bacon Academy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Ledyard's offense. They fell just short of Griswold by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. Considering the last time Ledyard couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

Bacon Academy's win bumped their record up to 15-0. As for Ledyard, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2-2.

Everything went Bacon Academy's way against Ledyard when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Bacon Academy made off with a 4-1 victory. Do the Bobcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Colonels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
