Purdue Poly Englewood is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 65-40 margin over Indianapolis Shortridge.

Meanwhile, Cathedral had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 65-27 victory over the Tigers. Given the Fighting Irish's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Tigers are ranked 245th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Purdue Poly Englewood's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Cathedral, their victory bumped their record up to 16-9.
