Baseball Recap: Chavez Comes Up Short

Chavez lost against Lathrop back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Chavez Titans fell just short of the Lathrop Spartans by a score of 5-4. The Titans' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Jordan Cordova made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (two).

Chavez's record now sits at 1-6. As for Lathrop, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chavez will venture away from home to face off against West at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lathrop, they will head out on the road to take on Stagg at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
