The North Mecklenburg Vikings will take on the Marvin Ridge Mavericks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with North Mecklenburg sitting on six straight wins and Marvin Ridge on 17.

On Tuesday, North Mecklenburg narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Hickory Ridge 3-2.

North Mecklenburg was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (111-103), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-23, 27-25, 13-25, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Marvin Ridge made easy work of Davie County on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Marvin Ridge took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-12, 25-8.
