Max Rice put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Rice was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with a home run and four RBI.

Even though they lost, Brentwood School didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with 11 strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Village Christian only tossed seven.

On Village Christian's side, the team relied heavily on Ethan Tibert, who went 2-for-3 with a home run, three runs, and three RBI.

Brentwood School's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7. As for Village Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7-1 record this season.
