Covenant Christian found their leader in sophomore Moriah Armstrong, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 14 rebounds. Those 14 boards set a new season-high mark for Armstrong. Julia Hoffman was another key player, putting up nine points.
University's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabby Culp, who posted eight points in addition to six rebounds and six steals. Those six steals gave Culp a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Anyah Turley, who went 6-for-9 to rack up 15 points and five boards.
Covenant Christian's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for University, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.
Covenant Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 47-35 loss against Monrovia on the 8th. University does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
