Volleyball Game Preview: Newsome Wolves vs. Winter Haven Blue Devils

The Newsome Wolves are taking a road trip to challenge the Winter Haven Blue Devils at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a seven-game winning streak alive.

Newsome is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Palm Harbor University with a sharp 3-0 win.

Newsome was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-14, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Winter Haven beat Strawberry Crest 3-1 on Wednesday.

Winter Haven walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-21, 25-12, 25-27, 26-24.

Newsome better keep an eye on Evvie King. She was instrumental in Winter Haven's win, getting 16 digs and one assist. Those 16 digs gave King a new career-high.

Winter Haven's win bumped their record up to 23-5. As for Newsome, their victory bumped their record up to 19-4.
