Football Recap: Marshall's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Friday just wasn't the day for Marshall's offense. They fell 7-0 to the Carlsbad Lancers on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Barristers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 137th, while the Lancers are ranked 23rd).

Jaylin Macias threw for 66 yards on six of 11 attempts. Bailey Avilez was her top target, picking up 54 receiving yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Marshall fell to 3-1. As for Carlsbad, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Marshall didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 14-6 defeat against Torrey Pines on the 22nd. As for Carlsbad, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-7 win against La Serna on the 22nd.
