Volleyball Recap: Cherokee Bluff Extends Winning Streak to Three

Cherokee Bluff extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping them up to 7-3. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the North Cobb Warriors. This was a revenge game for the Bears: when they faced off against the Warriors last Saturday, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

As for North Cobb, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 4-0 Buford (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 85% over those games).

When it comes to explaining why North Cobb lost, don't look at Ashley Hendershot. Despite the final result, she had 13 assists and seven digs. Zoe Oye also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

Cherokee Bluff wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Buford on the 14th. As for North Cobb, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against South Forsyth on the 16th.
