Basketball Recap: Albany Comes Up Short

Albany lost against Gallatin back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Albany Warriors lost 64-39 to the Gallatin Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 464th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 152nd).

Albany has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Gallatin, they pushed their record up to 16-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Albany will venture away from home to face off against Tarkio at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tarkio knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Albany likes a good challenge. As for Gallatin, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 57-37 victory against Penney on the 11th.
