Brownsburg is a perfect 10-0 against Tri-West Hendricks since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Bruins at 6:45 p.m.
Brownsburg is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Westfield just ended the team's nine-match winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Shamrocks by a score of 3-2. Bulldogs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Shamrocks since Wednesday.
Brownsburg was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Westfield work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 26-24, 17-25, 25-15, 15-6.
Despite their loss, Brownsburg saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kate Vrabel, who had 15 digs and six assists, was perhaps the best of all.
Meanwhile, Tri-West Hendricks had just enough and edged out Zionsville 3-2 on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bruins.
Tri-West Hendricks was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (107-97), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-23, 14-25, 25-21, 15-13.
Tri-West Hendricks' win bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Brownsburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-5.
Brownsburg took their victory against Tri-West Hendricks in their previous meeting back in September of 2023 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bruins turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
