Knightstown came tearing into Saturday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Tri Titans with a sharp 17-2 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-1 two weeks ago.

Carter Gossett looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run but no hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jackson Daves, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelton Weaver, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Knightstown's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Tri, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Knightstown will venture away from home to challenge Southwestern at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Tri, they will head out on the road to face off against Winchester Community at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Titans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Golden Falcons have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season.
