Baseball Recap: Crane Comes Up Short

Crane was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fordland Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pirates of the 4-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2016.

Crane's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Fordland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-7.

Crane didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-7 victory against Blue Eye on the 9th. As for Fordland, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Seymour on the 9th.
