Basketball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Estero

If Cape Coral wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Estero, they should've done a better job of containing Amiya Lewis. The Estero Wildcats came out on top against the Cape Coral Seahawks by a score of 53-42 on Tuesday thanks in part to Lewis, who went 11 of 20 on her way to 28 points and eight rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jordyn Vaill, who posted 13 points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

The win made it two in a row for Estero and bumps their season record up to 5-1. As for Cape Coral, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-2.

Estero will venture away from home to face off against Mariner at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Estero is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.7 points per game this season. As for Cape Coral, they will host Oasis at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cape Coral's defense has only allowed 27.2 points per game this season, so Oasis' offense will have their work cut out for them.
