            Softball Recap: Bayfront Charter Sharks vs. Bonsall Legionnaires        
        
		
        
        
            Bayfront Charter took a ten-run  loss the last time they faced off against Bonsall, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Sharks had just enough and edged out the Legionnaires  8-7. This was a revenge game for the Sharks: when they faced off against the Legionnaires  on Thursday, they had to take a  14-4  defeat.

 Daniela Figueroa made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  struck out ten batters over  seven innings while giving up  five earned  (and two unearned) runs off   seven  hits. Those  ten  strikeouts gave  her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with one  double and one  RBI.
 Figueroa wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Gabriella Loera, who  went 2-for-5 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.  Kailyn Martinez also deserves some recognition as  she  brought in her first  RBI of the season.
Bayfront Charter's win bumped their record up to 3-15. As for Bonsall, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-7 record  this season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bayfront Charter will welcome Ocean View Christian  at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Sharks are on  a six-game streak of home losses, and the Patriots a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck. As for Bonsall, they will be playing at home against San Diego Academy  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Legionnaires are facing the Cavaliers at the right time seeing as the Cavaliers are stuck on  a  six-game losing streak.
