Baseball Game Preview: DSST: Montview Knights vs. Hinkley Thunder

The DSST: Montview Knights will head out to take on the Hinkley Thunder at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. DSST: Montview will be strutting in after a win while Hinkley will be coming in after a loss.

DSST: Montview took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over Bruce Randolph. The win was some much needed relief for the Knights as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Hinkley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They lost 17-7 to Overland.

Victor Quijada was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Jack Sanchez was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run.

Hinkley's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for DSST: Montview, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.

DSST: Montview took their win against Hinkley when the teams last played back in April by a conclusive 12-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
