Basketball Recap: Rowlett Victorious

Rowlett's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Sam Houston Texans by a score of 67-54.

Rowlett found their leader in sophomore Cadarian Urune, who went 10 of 18 on his way to 24 points and four blocks. The dominant performance gave Urune a new career-high in blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Mcmanigell, who posted 12 points and three steals.

Rowlett's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Sam Houston, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Rowlett wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 74-53 defeat against Red Oak on the 27th. As for Sam Houston, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-57 loss against Prestonwood Christian on the 27th.
