After a string of ten wins, Lewis-Palmer's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 3-1 to the Mountain Vista Golden Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in August.

Lewis-Palmer started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-19, 25-21, 25-18.

Ariana O'Connor paced Lewis-Palmer's offense, picking up 12 kills. O'Connor got some help from Olivia Ivall and her 17 assists. O'Connor also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Keira Lunn, each putting up two.

Sofia Posada was a one-woman wrecking crew For Mountain Vista. as she had 28 digs and four assists. That's the most assists Posada has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Schmidt, who had 20 assists and seven digs.

Lewis-Palmer's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Mountain Vista, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-6.

Lewis-Palmer has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Cheyenne Mountain on the 1st. As for Mountain Vista, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Cherry Creek on the 1st.
