Basketball Recap: Ace Rogers' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Tuscola over Pisgah

Tuscola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They fell 72-62 to the Pisgah Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mountaineers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 72-45 back in January.

Tuscola's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ace Rogers, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. Rogers has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Bryce Ferguson, who went 6 for 13 to rack up 12 points and eight rebounds.

Even though they lost, Tuscola smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since the start of last season.

Tuscola's record now sits at 2-19. As for Pisgah, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-11 record this season.

Tuscola didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 73-46 defeat against Smoky Mountain on the 7th. As for Pisgah, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 88-58 loss against East Henderson on the 7th.
