Basketball Game Preview: Conemaugh Township Indians vs. United Lions

The Conemaugh Township Indians will challenge the United Lions at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Conemaugh Township is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.9 points per game this season.

Conemaugh Township is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Cambria Heights just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 49-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Highlanders. The contest marked the Indians' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite their loss, Conemaugh Township saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Brennan Lohr, who posted 12 points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Stephen Stango, who put up 11 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Even though they lost, Conemaugh Township smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 16 offensive rebounds in five consecutive matches.
