North DeSoto extended their winning streak to nine on Friday, bumping them up to 9-0. They enjoyed a cozy 63-49 victory over the Loyola College Prep Flyers. That's more bragging rights for the Griffins, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

North DeSoto's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kenny Thomas, who rushed for 276 yards and four TDs while picking up 12.5 yards per carry. Those 276 rushing yards gave Thomas a new career-high. Luke Delafield was another key signal caller, throwing for 216 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: North DeSoto was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 415 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Loyola College Prep fell to 8-1. The loss was their first of the season.

When it comes to explaining why Loyola College Prep lost, don't look at Bryce Restovich. Despite the final result, he threw for 403 yards and five TDs, and also punched in one score on the ground. Restovich has been hot, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last eight times he's played. Jake Black was Restovich's top target, picking up 68 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.
