Volleyball Recap: Boise Takes Down Ranked Coeur D'alene

Boise faced Coeur d'Alene in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Brave came out on top in a nail-biter against the Vikings, sneaking past 3-2. This was payback for the Brave, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Boise got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-11, 23-25, 25-21, 17-25, 15-13.

Boise was led to victory by Katelyn Huck and Delaney Hamilton. Huck had 17 digs and five assists, while Hamilton had nine digs and two assists. Those two assists gave Hamilton a new career-high.

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Embree Mckeown, who had 13 digs and one assist.

Boise is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-11 record this season. As for Coeur d'Alene, they moved to 18-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Boise didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Centennial on the 7th. As for Coeur d'Alene, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Lewiston on the 7th.
