Basketball Recap: Spurger Takes a Loss

Spurger lost against Goodrich back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pirates lost 49-27 to the Hornets. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Spurger's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Goodrich, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Spurger will face off against rival Chester at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Goodrich is set to challenge their familiar foe High Island at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
