Freeway recap October 29, 2013

La Habra added to the longest winning streak in Freeway this week by beating Troy, 42-14. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.

Sunny Hills scaled the state rankings by moving to 629 from 710 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Lancers were able to move up by falling to Fullerton 47-34.

SCOTT LLOYD threw for 292 yards and 6 touchdowns.

Jacob Fimbres was a force in the backfield as Sonora fell to Buena Park.

Jaylinn Hawkins was the best wideout in the league this week as the Coyotes beat the Raiders. Hawkins tallied 8 receptions for 161 yards. Nikolas Needham helped Buena Park's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 109 yards.

The Indians' LLOYD and JAMES HUBBARD led Freeway in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback LLOYD has thrown for 1,744 yards this season, while HUBBARD has 38 catches for 788 yards. Deven Boston from Buena Park leads the league in rushing with 1,803 yards.

One of the league's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when Fullerton and Anthony White's team face off next week.

The Coyotes are currently in third, while Gus Martinez/Ed De Avila's team is in second.

There should be lots of points scored when Buena Park and the Indians face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Coyotes comes in having scored 304 this season, while Fullerton has scored 286. Buena Park scored 39 points last week as it defeated Sonora.

The Warriors lost to La Habra 42-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Kyle Blumer was a bright spot for Troy, as he threw for 256 yards and 2 touchdowns in the loss.
