Basketball Recap: Pleasant Grove Comes Up Short

Pleasant Grove's game on Friday was all tied up 27-27 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 55-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Corner Canyon Chargers. The Vikings were not able to make up for their loss to the Chargers from their previous meeting back in February of 2023.

Aubrey Mulitalo was her usual excellent self, going 8 of 13 on her way to 18 points and seven boards for Corner Canyon. The team also got some help courtesy of Sorrelle Nielsen, who posted seven points and eight rebounds.

Pleasant Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Corner Canyon, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Pleasant Grove will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Layton at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Corner Canyon and Tournament Opponent will round out the year against one another at at 7:30 p.m. on December 27th.
