Basketball Recap: Lake Cormorant Comes Up Short

Lake Cormorant lost against Horn Lake back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Lake Cormorant took a 48-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Horn Lake. Lake Cormorant has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leading Horn Lake to victory were Julian Jeter and Trey Gilliam. Jeter dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards, while Gilliam shot 56% from the field to rack up 11 points. Those 11 points gave Gilliam a new career-high.

Lake Cormorant now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Horn Lake, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Lake Cormorant will take on Gentry at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Horn Lake, they will square off against Olive Branch at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
