Baseball Recap: Galt Takes a Loss

After flying high against Florin last Thursday, Galt came back down to earth. The Galt Warriors took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bret Harte Bullfrogs on Thursday. The loss was the Warriors' first of the season.

Anthony Trejo was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Trejo is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was James Gilbert, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Having lost for the first time this season, Galt fell to 2-1. As for Bret Harte, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Coming up, Galt will head out on the road to face off against Cordova at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bret Harte, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Riverbank at 4:00 p.m. on March 14th. Bret Harte is facing Riverbank at the right time seeing as Riverbank is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
