Softball Recap: Adams-Friendship Takes a Loss

Adams-Friendship managed to slip by Assumption the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Green Devils lost 9-2 to the Royals on Friday. The matchup marked the Green Devils' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Adams-Friendship saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Weaver, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Weaver hit this season.

Adams-Friendship's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Assumption, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Adams-Friendship will head out on the road to take on Columbus Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Assumption, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Sevastopol at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
