Recap: Bad Axe Hatchets vs. Caro Tigers
It was a good run, but the Bad Axe Hatchets unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 35-34 to Caro. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Bad Axe of the 42-39 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
Leading Caro to victory were Normandy Geiger and Brooklyn Osborn. Geiger dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, while Osborn scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Geiger has scored all season. Alexa Long was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with four steals.
Bad Axe's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-4. As for Caro, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bad Axe will square off against Cass City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Caro, they will head out on the road to take on Laker at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
