Mission Veterans Memorial piles up the points against Valley View

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Mission Veterans Memorial Patriots had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past Valley View, posting a 43-6 victory at home. The victory was familiar territory for Mission Veterans Memorial who now have five in a row.

Braden Luedeker was his usual excellent self, rushing for 118 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries, while also throwing for 241 yards and two touchdowns. Luedeker hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Abel Lucio, who picked up 47 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Mission Veterans Memorial has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Valley View, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

Mission Veterans Memorial will take on Pieper at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pieper is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Valley View does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
