Basketball Recap: Mcloud's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

McLoud easily dispatched Valliant last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The McLoud Redskins fell just short of the Henryetta Knights by a score of 52-50 on Monday. The Redskins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.

McLoud lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Bryce Cowns, who posted 14 points and five assists. Another player making a difference was Mason Craven, who went 6 for 12 en route to 13 points and six rebounds.

With the defeat, McLoud broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-3. As for Henryetta, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.

McLoud didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 52-49 win against Mount St. Mary on the 14th. As for Henryetta, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 65-59 victory against Morris on the 17th.
