Baseball Recap: St. Frederick Takes a Loss

St. Frederick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Sterlington Panthers, falling 15-2. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 4-2 loss last Friday.

St. Frederick's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Sterlington, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Frederick will head out to face off against D'Arbonne Woods at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Frederick has given up an average of 7.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Sterlington, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Sterlington Panthers challenge Neville Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
