Basketball Recap: Chowchilla Comes Up Short

Chowchilla lost to Norwalk back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Tribe came up short against the Lancers, falling 68-48. The Tribe have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Norwalk's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jesus Sanchez, who went 5-for-8 to rack up 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That's the most steals Sanchez has posted since back in January. Bhavya Verma was another key player, shooting 46% from the field en route to 17 points and three steals.

Chowchilla's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Norwalk, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-6 record.

Coming up, Chowchilla will take on Valley Christian in a tournament on Monday. As for Norwalk, they will be taking part in a tournament against Pacifica at 1:30 p.m. on Monday.
